Anne Hay has been widely published in literary magazines and anthologies, including Magma, Gutter, Envoi, Interpreter’s House, Northwords Now. Her pamphlet will be published by Red Squirrel Press in 2023. She writes to express the beauty and transience of life.

She has written short fiction and comedy for BBC Radio 4 and Radio Scotland. Her career was in adult education teaching study and communication skills, adult literacy and creative writing, always with an underlying message of learning to be yourself. She is a member of The Other Poetry Group and Southside Writers.

Her career was in adult education, teaching creative writing, adult literacy and study skills with Open Studies, Edinburgh university, Edinburgh City Council, Workers’ Educational Association and Open Book Reading.
